Facility Services Assistant

Employee serves as a Facilities Services Assistant, assigned to the Facilities Management Branch of Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve under the direct supervision of the Chief of Facilities Management. Duties will include, but are not be limited to, the following:
Utilizes the Facility Management Software System (FMSS) and related web based administrative programs such as the Federal Business Management System (FBMS), Automated Financial System (AFS), Project Scoping Tool (PST), Project Management Information System (PMIS), and software programs (Microsoft WORD, Excel, etc.) to compile, organize and track all facility asset and maintenance data collected to support the Park's Asset Management Program. Works with various park staff including park facility managers, maintenance supervisors, administrative officer and other park management and staff to compile and input the information necessary to produce accurate FMSS reports. Conducts or assists in conducting facility condition assessments of each park asset (i.e. building or trail) and records data in the Facility Condition Assessment System (FCAS). Prepares, schedules and tracks work orders using the FMSS system and estimates the costs of work orders and maintenance projects using the Cost Estimating Software System (CESS). Assists in development of project funding proposals using the PST and PMIS and FMSS data. Tracks work order and project progression including labor, supply, equipment, and contracted service expenditures, and prepares completion reports. Correlates and analyzes FMSS data for presentations to park management. To qualify for this position at the GS-7 grade level, you must possess at least one or all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement:
Experience:
At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-6 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as:
maintaining asset management databases; preparing reports; updating cost components; analyzing report data to ensure accuracy; coordinating assessment surveys, asset inventories, and condition assessments; and providing administrative support pertaining to the collection of data including equipment and feature inventories and specification templates. . Experience:
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must include months, years and hours per week worked to receive credit for your work and/or volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
