Maintenance Mechanic

Employee serves as a Maintenance Mechanic assigned to the Facilities Management Branch of Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve. Duties will include, but may not be limited to the following:
Installs, repairs, modifies, and maintains buildings and associated systems and equipment. Lays out work, determines requirements, draws materials and carries assignment to completion utilizing established trade techniques and adhering to safety requirements and national building codes Performs plumbing, masonry, roofing repairs and reconstruction. Replaces windows, doors, soffit and gutter systems and installs simple photovoltaic systems. Constructs structures such as wooden and masonry amphitheater seating. Submits recommendations for modifications to existing equipment and systems to improve overall safety and operation. You may be required to work on-call, evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime and shift work. You will be required to wear a uniform and comply with the National Park Service uniform standards. A uniform allowance will be provided. To qualify for this position, you must have sufficient knowledge and ability in the following job-related factors:

One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as varies.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
